Victoria has been adopted! 01-16-2016
Victoria was picked up by a passerby alongside her brother after they had gotten out of their yard. The shelter scanned for a microchip and the owner retrieved the male, but left sweet Victoria behind. When asked why, he said because the shelter would spay her and his sole purpose in having her was for breeding. As if the shelter wasn't terrifying enough, she was separated from her brother who she was very bonded with and left alone to die.
Her ears have been cut off, but she loves people regardless of how she was treated in the past. She was a shelter favorite and the staff was so happy to see a rescue save her! She's also a favorite among our volunteers!
Victoria is probably the sweetest, most loving dog walking the earth. She literally hugged her transporter the entire trip from the shelter to her temporary home.
This cutie pie is a wonderful family dog. She's smart and eager to please.
The minimum adoption donation for adults is $375 and the adoption donation for puppies is $500. This amount only partially covers the cost of veterinary care, boarding fees, and other miscellaneous expenses involved in the temporary care and adoption of our dogs and is tax deductible when permitted by law. The adoption donation provides that all dogs will be spayed or neutered, receive current vaccinations, and are microchipped. If not, arrangements will be made on an individual basis ( i.e., puppies who will need to be altered by 6 mos old). Special consideration may be given to those willing to adopt older dogs or dogs with physical problems.
