Coastal German Shepherd Rescue

Bailey has been adopted! 01-05-2013

Female German Shepherd Dog /Cattle Dog mix about 1-2 years old. Good with kids. Gets along with other dogs.

Bailey is a sweet young girl who was rescued from a high kill shelter with 7 her newborn puppies. We were sent her pictures when she was out of time. The look in her eyes as she snuggled her babies seemed to plead for help. Springing to action, a dedicated volunteer ran to the shelter with minutes to spear. Bailey and Company were then delivered to one of our foster homes when she has spent the last few weeks lovingly raising her puppies. Now that her mommy duties are over, Bailey wants nothing more than to find a new family to love.

She is a quiet, demure girl who is only a little over a year old. She appears to be perhaps a cattle dog / lab mix. She is small and petite weighing around 40 pounds. Bailey has nice house manners, is housebroken and crate trained. She is a very easy dog to live with. Calm and content to hang out on a dog bed, she also does enjoy a good run around the yard. Being just a little more than a pup herself, she has a playful side. She is fast and agile and would be a great agility or running partner. Bailey loves attention and human companionship. She will be an excellent addition to a family looking for a dog on the smaller side.

The minimum adoption donation for adults is $375 and the adoption donation for puppies is $500. This amount only partially covers the cost of veterinary care, boarding fees, and other miscellaneous expenses involved in the temporary care and adoption of our dogs and is tax deductible when permitted by law. The adoption donation provides that all dogs will be spayed or neutered, receive current vaccinations, and are microchipped. If not, arrangements will be made on an individual basis ( i.e., puppies who will need to be altered by 6 mos old). Special consideration may be given to those willing to adopt older dogs or dogs with physical problems.
