Karcsi has been adopted! 06-15-2013
Karcsi and her "kids" were rescued from death in the eleventh hour by Coastal. When we saw the photos of this skinny mom and her pups we couldn't leave them to die. We were horrified to find out that the shelter had been adopting out the still nursing pups and we hope those babies are ok. We were able to pull Karcsi and her last 3 puppies and get them to the safety of a foster home. With plenty of good food and a quiet place to finish raising her babies, Karcsi has blossomed and gained some much needed weight. Karcsi is a very sweet active younger dog. Originally listed as 5 years old, we believe she is actually much younger. She is a very happy girl who loves her toys and to play fetch. On the smaller side, Karcsi is very affectionate and enjoys being petted and brushed. Taking advantage of the second chance she has been given, Karcsi like to lay outside in the fresh air and have a good roll in the grass. Simple pleasures are not taken for granted by this young lady. She is also housebroken, well behaved and walks nicely on a leash. Her puppies have since been adopted and now Karcsi is looking for a home of her own!
The minimum adoption donation for adults is $375 and the adoption donation for puppies is $500. This amount only partially covers the cost of veterinary care, boarding fees, and other miscellaneous expenses involved in the temporary care and adoption of our dogs and is tax deductible when permitted by law. The adoption donation provides that all dogs will be spayed or neutered, receive current vaccinations, and are microchipped. If not, arrangements will be made on an individual basis ( i.e., puppies who will need to be altered by 6 mos old). Special consideration may be given to those willing to adopt older dogs or dogs with physical problems.
