Jade has been adopted! 03-06-2013

Female German Shepherd Dog about 6-9 years old. Good with kids. Gets along with other dogs. Not cat friendly.

Jade came to us emaciated and in poor shape. Evidence of having recently given birth and fly strikes on her ears, Jade was most certainly a backyard dog who found her way out of the yard and into a county shelter. Despite her rough past, brighter days are ahead!

Approx 6 - 7 years old, Jade is a shy girl but extremely sweet! Jade hasn't had much socialization but does well with other dogs her own size and would probably be fine with smaller dogs if properly introduced. She's smart -- learning her leash skills quickly -- and is very much treat motivated. She bonds quickly to whomever she's with and is truly grateful when shown some love and affection.

The minimum adoption donation for adults is $375 and the adoption donation for puppies is $500. This amount only partially covers the cost of veterinary care, boarding fees, and other miscellaneous expenses involved in the temporary care and adoption of our dogs and is tax deductible when permitted by law. The adoption donation provides that all dogs will be spayed or neutered, receive current vaccinations, and are microchipped. If not, arrangements will be made on an individual basis ( i.e., puppies who will need to be altered by 6 mos old). Special consideration may be given to those willing to adopt older dogs or dogs with physical problems.
