Taxi has been adopted! 12-04-2005

Taxi is a gorgeous, loving three-year-old male- a classically marked Shepherd!! This dog turns heads when he walks down the street! Taxi is in need of a loving family to give him the attention he deserves. He is not a digger, jumper, or escape artist- he is very content in his own territory but needs lots of exercise on a daily basis. Taxi has an intense ball drive- his favorite thing in the whole world is to play catch. Unfortunately, Taxi also likes to chase cats and small dogs. He tends to act aggressively towards other dogs – especially small dogs – though he has shown affection when he is around the same dog for a period of time. With the proper training, however, we are confident that Taxi would grow to overcome this obstacle. Taxi loves people, and seems to really love kids too.

Taxi is extremely smart. He knows many commands including “sit,” “lay down,” “get out of the kitchen,” “go to bed,” “roll over,” and “drink some water.” Tricks/commands can usually be taught to him in a few sessions. Taxi even likes to take baths! He is the perfect dog for any family – although he would do best with a family that does not have any other pets.

The minimum adoption donation for adults is $375 and the adoption donation for puppies is $500. This amount only partially covers the cost of veterinary care, boarding fees, and other miscellaneous expenses involved in the temporary care and adoption of our dogs and is tax deductible when permitted by law. The adoption donation provides that all dogs will be spayed or neutered, receive current vaccinations, and are microchipped. If not, arrangements will be made on an individual basis ( i.e., puppies who will need to be altered by 6 mos old). Special consideration may be given to those willing to adopt older dogs or dogs with physical problems.
