Mira has been adopted! 12-27-2006

Female about 0 old.

Mira is a confident 6 mo old girl who gets along well with other dogs. We rescued Mira and her brother and sister from a shelter in October. Both siblings have found their forever homes but Mira is still waiting!!!! We're not sure why because she comes to every adoption event and is a model citizen. Her best friend is Gwen who has also been waiting for a looooonnnnnngggg time for her home. These two girls live together in boarding and keep each other company.

We think that Mira will be a good sized girl with plenty of spunk. She shows alpha tendencies so will probably be a dominant dog. She would do really well in a home with an older dog to help show her the ropes, just like Gwen has done.

Puppies are a life-long commitment. They need time, training, vet care and healthy feeding to become good canine citizens. Don't even think of adopting a puppy unless you intend to invest the time and money and commitment required, and you can expect to lose a few good shoes along the way!

The minimum adoption donation for adults is $375 and the adoption donation for puppies is $500. This amount only partially covers the cost of veterinary care, boarding fees, and other miscellaneous expenses involved in the temporary care and adoption of our dogs and is tax deductible when permitted by law. The adoption donation provides that all dogs will be spayed or neutered, receive current vaccinations, and are microchipped. If not, arrangements will be made on an individual basis ( i.e., puppies who will need to be altered by 6 mos old). Special consideration may be given to those willing to adopt older dogs or dogs with physical problems.
