Baron has been adopted! 06-16-2007
Baron is housebroken, crate trained, doesn't bark, doesn't dig and will go for walks on a flat collar - by the way, on those walks, if other dogs charge fences, he pays them no mind. One thing that Baron does like to do is howl - if there are sirens, he likes to join in and right now he is entertaining his foster family and encouraging his foster siblings to join in - but, if you tell him to stop, well...he just does. After a long walk, Baron likes to jump up into the water fountain with his front feet to cool off. So we think he enjoys the water!!! Because Baron is so tolerant of other dogs and so non reactive, we do think that, with the proper introductions, he will tolerate a cat or two. He is absolutely wonderful with other dogs but he will defend himself - he will never start an altercation that we can see. The fact that he allows toys to be taken out of his mouth is a strong indication of his calm demeanor and personality. Baron is so perfect that he knows that he can help less fortunate dogs than himself and he has insisted on a minimum donation of $500 so that his adoption can help the other orphans in Coastal's care.
The minimum adoption donation for adults is $375 and the adoption donation for puppies is $500. This amount only partially covers the cost of veterinary care, boarding fees, and other miscellaneous expenses involved in the temporary care and adoption of our dogs and is tax deductible when permitted by law. The adoption donation provides that all dogs will be spayed or neutered, receive current vaccinations, and are microchipped. If not, arrangements will be made on an individual basis ( i.e., puppies who will need to be altered by 6 mos old). Special consideration may be given to those willing to adopt older dogs or dogs with physical problems.
