Gordon has been adopted! 06-30-2007

Gordon is a sweet, loving youngster who is approximately 15 -18 months old! We think that Gordon is a mix of Australian Shepherd and either Bernese Mountain Dog or Golden Retriever. He has the absolute personality of the last two but the body (although much larger than a purebred Aussie) and movement of the former.

Gordon was stuck in a high kill shelter where the employees were desperate for him to make it out. He laid in his run on his back waiting for a belly rub. He does the same thing in his foster home...that is, when he isn't watching TV...he spent his first night commenting on the Tony Awards when he felt the need - the musical numbers are NOT his idea of good television!!! :)

Gordon does extremely well with other dogs and has a mellow and sweet disposition. He has a stocky and muscular build - he gets a kick out of toys but shares willingly.

The minimum adoption donation for adults is $375 and the adoption donation for puppies is $500. This amount only partially covers the cost of veterinary care, boarding fees, and other miscellaneous expenses involved in the temporary care and adoption of our dogs and is tax deductible when permitted by law. The adoption donation provides that all dogs will be spayed or neutered, receive current vaccinations, and are microchipped. If not, arrangements will be made on an individual basis ( i.e., puppies who will need to be altered by 6 mos old). Special consideration may be given to those willing to adopt older dogs or dogs with physical problems.
