Noelle has been adopted! 07-05-2010
Noelle, about 4 years old, we think, is potty-trained and walks great on a leash. She had a good first week in her new foster home and is building confidence by watching the other well balanced dogs in her foster home. She totally understands how to fit into a pack and is a great reader of body language so she flies under the radar and doesn't cause trouble! Noelle loves to take toys and put them in another room, although she doesn't really seem to know what to do with them once she gets them. She also got a bath and her jet black coat is now SHINY and gorgeous. She'd be great in a home with kids as she likes to play with her human foster "sister", but she'll also settle down very quickly. Update 6/27/10
Noelle is currently staying at K-9 adventures in Covina and is on a weight loss/training program. She can already heel, sit and stay. She is friendly and loves to give kisses, Dave the owner/trainer says she is a great dog! She will be beautiful once she loses weight. She is currently being taken on slow bicycle rides for a mile twice a day. She is good with other dogs and children, we don't know about cats. I'll send you updated pictures as her weight continues to come off.
The minimum adoption donation for adults is $375 and the adoption donation for puppies is $500. This amount only partially covers the cost of veterinary care, boarding fees, and other miscellaneous expenses involved in the temporary care and adoption of our dogs and is tax deductible when permitted by law. The adoption donation provides that all dogs will be spayed or neutered, receive current vaccinations, and are microchipped. If not, arrangements will be made on an individual basis ( i.e., puppies who will need to be altered by 6 mos old). Special consideration may be given to those willing to adopt older dogs or dogs with physical problems.
