Rango has been adopted! 07-22-2011
Riley, earless and pregnant, was rescued on her last day at a very impacted city shelter. Thanks to a kind shelter worker who brought her to our attention, we were able to get her out in the nick of time. Fast forward almost a month and "Riley's Rascals" burst on the scene on May 29, all 10 of them. Riley has done a great job raising her 4 boys and 6 girls, they are active, loving babies who love to play especially with their toys. They will be ready for new families the week of July 24th, so without further ado we are officially introducing "the Rascals". Rango is a darling "liver" colored boy who actually looks a lot like a chocolate lab. If we didn't know better we would have thought someone slipped him in the whelping box when no one was looking. Sweet and outgoing Rango enjoys playing with his toys. He is one of the first to say hi to the big dogs in his foster home and find the food bowl. He loves to cuddle and be played with, but can find his own fun too. This happy little guy will do well with an active family.
The minimum adoption donation for adults is $375 and the adoption donation for puppies is $500. This amount only partially covers the cost of veterinary care, boarding fees, and other miscellaneous expenses involved in the temporary care and adoption of our dogs and is tax deductible when permitted by law. The adoption donation provides that all dogs will be spayed or neutered, receive current vaccinations, and are microchipped. If not, arrangements will be made on an individual basis ( i.e., puppies who will need to be altered by 6 mos old). Special consideration may be given to those willing to adopt older dogs or dogs with physical problems.
