Coastal German Shepherd Rescue

Fairway has been adopted! 12-12-2011

Female about 0 old.

Fairway is looking for her forever home. Found living on a golf course, where she had been dumped by her "owners," Fairway had little reason to have any faith in people. Fortunately for her, she had a group of angels looking out for her as they fed her and gained her trust. When they were finally able to catch her, she was well into a pregnancy. With the help of 2 shelters, we were able to rescue Fairway and get her to a warm and safe environment to deliver her babies.

Fairway is most likely a Shepherd/Lab mix and she is as sweet as can be. She was picked up from the shelter, where she was very pregnant, and very depressed. She didn't want to walk on the leash and really didn't want much of anything at all. 2 days after coming to to her Coastal foster home, she delivered 7 healthy babies. She was a trooper thru the whole ordeal, letting her foster mom handle the puppies from the very beginning, even though she had little reason to have any trust in people at all.

As the days turned into weeks, Fairway built trust in her foster mom. It truly is a small miracle that we are where we are today. She now knows how to sit, she comes when she is called, and she absolutely loves to be loved! Oh and did we mention that she is also housebroken! Fairway has had a rough life and it is our promise to her that she finds a home that will cherish her the way she deserves.

The minimum adoption donation for adults is $375 and the adoption donation for puppies is $500. This amount only partially covers the cost of veterinary care, boarding fees, and other miscellaneous expenses involved in the temporary care and adoption of our dogs and is tax deductible when permitted by law. The adoption donation provides that all dogs will be spayed or neutered, receive current vaccinations, and are microchipped. If not, arrangements will be made on an individual basis ( i.e., puppies who will need to be altered by 6 mos old). Special consideration may be given to those willing to adopt older dogs or dogs with physical problems.
